I have to say, I had the best experience!! I rec'd a call to schedule a CT scan. I asked, while on the phone, if I... could have my mammogram done at the same time, since I was past due. The scheduler put me in the earliest spot and said they'd try to work me in as soon as I was done with the CT. That is exactly what they did! It was quick and easy and the techs were very professional, efficient and kind. The receptionists were pleasant and quick. The radiologist read both of my scans very quickly and my Dr's office called me ASAP with results!! It couldn't have been a better experience! I will definitely return to this clinic for all of my radiology needs in the future!read more

It was my first mammogram and I expected it to be painful it didn’t hurt at all!!Plus the technician talked me through... it and explained that due to this being my first- they usually have you come back just in case. I have to go back but I am not worriedAlso my appointment was for 12:30. They advised me to be there for 12:15. I was there at 12:10 and back in my car at 12:36!!! I suffer from a moderate curvature in the thoracic(upper)part of my back. In my early adult years, this was a slight... curvature!Additionally, I have herniated disks in my neck. Both issues have been causing recent lower back pain too. Because of my issues, I requested a referral from my Internist to the Spine Clinics. The Spine Clinic then requested a MRI.It’s crazy that with all the awesome medical breakthroughs, & we are forced to endure more pain just by laying on these hard, cold uncomfortable MRI tables!Frankly, I lucked out, only because of my technician, Megan! She calmed me down, & was so encouraging! She empathized with me from her own personal experience of being a patient too! I was ready to quit after the first part(my neck)was completed, approx. 20 minutes into the test. I don’t know how Megan did it, but I even managed to make it through the 2nd part(upper back)after another 20 minutes.However, after needing her help just to sit up, I decided to return again for the final part(lower back)which was only 4 work days away. And of course, I only scheduled with the same awesome technician again, Megan, whom I shall see tomorrow for the final test.In the last 12 months I have had a Mammogram & a bone density test here in Ankeny. I’ve been pleased with the technicians & also the front desk employees. I highly recommend Iowa Radiology!read more

Excellent experience! I called before we committed to going to get a cost for the ultrasound my child needed. They were... quick to get me a straightforward price, unlike another local place I tried calling. Got an appt right away. Super friendly receptionist. Tech was excellent. Put my child at ease and rewarded her with a little bear for staying still. She even thought of an opportunity to get more images that might be helpful by giving her an opportunity to empty her bladder again for more pics. (This was not required by definition but certainly could be helpful for our situation. I was impressed the tech proactively suggested.) Would absolutely come here again!read more

I arrived only a few minutes early and they got me right in. The technician showed me to the changing room and was very... professional while taking the images. There were no problems or concerns. I was in and out for a mammogram in less than 15 minutes! By the time I got back my to my office in less than 10 minutes the results were in my report already!! I’ve been going to Iowa Radiology-Clive for the last 10 years and what I really appreciate is the continued consistency... in the care that they give patients. There is a receptionist whose name I don’t know but she is black and usually occupies the first seat as you come into the clinic, This woman is always cheerful and greets patients with a smile and is a total professional. My experience there was extremely efficient. They got me an appointment rapidly. All communications through cell phone... and then text messaging ( it was very easy). My appointment time was late in the day and they were still on time and had me in-and-out of there very quickly. I arrived early for fear that things would be late, my appointment time was at 4:20 and I left at 430 with a calcium scoring CT chest procedure completed in that time. The very next day I had results available on the mychart application. Super-impressed with their customer service and their efficiency, I would definitely recommend using them!read more

I absolutely LOVE Iowa Radiology!!!! I was so happy when my Dr told me that's where I'd be going to have my MRI on my... knee done. Everyone was so nice and patient with me. I cannot bare weight on my knee and required a wheelchair. I was asked what kind of music I would like to listen to through Pandora and the volume was perfect while the tests were happening. I was there this past Monday, January 11, 2021 for an MRi on my head. I was very anxious because I'm somewhat... claustrophobic. When I got there the receptionist asked me a couple of questions. She was polite and professional. When the technician, Emily, called me back. She took me to this dressing room and before i changed she carefully asked me some questions, she told me what to expect and asked if I have any questions which she answered very expertly. Then after i changed, I went into the MRI room. The tube was wider than I expected. I laid down, she gave me this rubber bulb, she also provided headphones and asked what genre of music I liked. Decades ago when I had my last MRI, it took 45 to 60 minutes of lying still. Now, it took about 23 minutes and that included the time out she took to inject some contrast. i had no pain or discomfort, The injection didn't hurt at all, and she gave me timely updates as to how much time was left. She had a pleasant calm voice that helped me relax. I was very pleased with her professionalism and with the care she gave me. Emily is the best!! I highly recommend Iowa Radiology!!!read more

When... they found something earlier this year in my annual mammogram they called the next business day and had me in for a needle biopsy within 2 days. I went to the Clive location last night for an MRI. The appointment time was super convenient, my doctor sent the... referral and they got me in the next evening. I was one of if not the only patient when I arrived for my 7:45 appt. I had pretty much no wait time. I wish I could remember the technician’s name that did my MRI. She was so caring and sweet! I was in SO much pain, I wasn’t even sure I would be able to lay there for the test. She was so helpful, bringing me pillows to put under my legs, propping my head, she made sure I was completely comfortable before she started the test. She could tell I was struggling and promised to go as fast as she could, and she did! I was in and out of there so fast, couldn’t have taken more than 15 minutes. Such an amazing experience, I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone needing any kind of radiography.read more

For starters I walked in and everyone at the desk just stared at me before helping me. I then told them I had orders... sent in from my primary care provider and they said they couldn’t find them. That is totally fine they didn’t receive them. I called my doctor and then went back to the desk. I stated my doctor is saying it sent over but asked if they should try faxing it again. She then said well it’s not here and gave me the number. (It’s not what you say it’s how you say it) My doctor then faxed it over again. I sat back down to see the people that helped me keep staring and looking at me .( unprofessional) I sat in the lobby for about 2 hours. About 10 people were being called back that came in after me. They let me sit there for two hours without saying anything to me, not even trying to help me or let me know what was going on. And let me not forget to mention that they were talking and helping everyone else in the lobby.read more

I had my mammogram in July. It was the month my insurance renews and they changed my account number. The charge was... filed according to the old number. My claim was denied and I was billed. I called. They said they would refile. A month later I am billed again and it is said that I am late on my bill. I called again. They said they didn't have a record of my first call. I called the insurance company. No one had refiled. Several calls later, it was determined all was well. A month goes by. Now I am sent to a collection agency. I am enraged. I call again. They say they fixed it. They say they took it off the collection. A month goes by. Here I am again. The collection agency is still after me even though my bill has been paid. Really and truly, don't go to Iowa Radiology. It is a financial nightmare and it shouldn't be. Mammograms are covered completely by my insurance but I am still being hassled for payment, not to mention what this may be doing to my credit score.read more

The receptionists are incredibly rude. They will talk loudly, aka, scream personal and private information across an... crowded waiting room. They look at everyone like the patients are a massive inconvenience for their day. They herd women around like cattle throughout the clinic. I would not recommend unless you are desperate for care.read more
